A new collaboration between itm8 and Microsoft Denmark aims to help small and medium-sized Danish Businesses (SMBs) reap the benefits of hybrid IT infrastructure. Increased security and innovative tools will be made accessible to SMBs.

itm8 and Microsoft have joined forces to roll out an operations and IT security platform designed to give Danish SMBs access to modern cloud and AI-based IT services. The solution is hybrid and will work regardless of whether the company's infrastructure is located in its own data center or the cloud. This integration allows SMBs to combine legacy technologies with modern cloud solutions, increasing flexibility, reducing costs, and ensuring prompt handling of security incidents.
The goal is to offer modern security technology that equips SMBs to face current and growing threats from hackers and cybercriminals. This includes allowing a professional Security Operations Center to monitor and manage the SMBs' IT security around the clock, handling cyberattacks and other threats in real-time.
Additionally, the collaboration will give SMBs access to new technologies and competencies in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), software robots, and data analysis tools like Power BI.
"Too many Danish SMBs are vulnerable to hackers and IT criminals. We need to change that. At the same time, very few are utilizing groundbreaking technologies like artificial intelligence, which greatly affects productivity and innovation. Together with itm8, we are making these technologies accessible and ensuring their operation, so businesses can scale up or down as needed," says Mette Kaagaard, CEO of Microsoft Denmark and Iceland.
Henrik Kastbjerg, CEO of itm8, adds:
"We are focused on helping small and medium-sized businesses access the benefits of the latest technological developments. By combining Microsoft's modern technology and innovation, we get the best of both worlds: The latest technology operated by professionals who understand the customer's needs."
Focus on development instead of operation
The digital transformation of the SMB segment has previously been challenged by the need for significant investments in both technology and specialized staff.
"For smaller companies, it can be almost impossible to attract the best IT talents and utilize digital opportunities. Some of them feel like they are standing on the platform watching the train leave without a ticket. This is where we, as an IT partner, can make a difference," explains Henrik Kastbjerg, CEO of itm8.
When SMBs can avoid investing in technology and large in-house IT departments, they can instead focus on leveraging technological opportunities in a quick and flexible way, says Mette Kaagaard:
"The goal is to create a solution that gives businesses flexibility and peace of mind. They should be able to focus on how to leverage technological developments in their own industry without being constrained."
