In September, itm8 will welcome their new CEO as Christian M. Ingerslev steps into the role. Ingerslev joins itm8 with nearly three decades of experience from the A.P. Møller Group, most recently as CEO of Maersk Supply Service. He has previously served as both CCO and CEO of Maersk Tankers and has held several senior positions in areas such as commercial development and business strategy.

Christian M. Ingerslev takes over from Frank Vium, who will resume his role as Chairman of itm8’s Board of Directors. Frank Vium has served as interim CEO since April, when founder and then-CEO Henrik Kastbjerg stepped down.
“It has been a great privilege, as Chairman of the Board, to get much closer to both employees and customers—an experience I wouldn’t want to be without. That said, I’ve been looking forward to bringing Christian on board, as his impressive experience makes him the right person to take itm8 to the next level,” says Frank Vium.
itm8 aims to be the SMBs’ one-stop IT partner
itm8, originally founded as IT Relation in 2003, merged 13 brands into a single unified company at the end of 2023. The goal is to bring together a wide range of specialized companies to offer small and medium-sized businesses a comprehensive portfolio of solutions supporting all their workflows—delivered by a single provider. This process is still ongoing, and Christian M. Ingerslev will now be leading that effort.

Since 2022, itm8 has been owned by the private equity firm Axcel in partnership with Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker and senior employees. Axcel has therefore been part of the entire journey—from a ‘house of brands’ to the itm8 we know today, which with 1,700 employees is now one of Scandinavia’s largest IT service providers.
